Stereotactic Radiosurgery
Dr. Cmelak is the Senior Medical Director for the Department of Radiation Oncology as well as for the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center at Franklin. He trained at both Northwestern University and Stanford University. He is a recognized leader in cancer treatments utilizing radiation therapy with novel chemotherapy agents and provides comprehensive radiation treatment for patients with brain cancer using the latest technologies including stereotactic radiosurgery.

Dr. Xia is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and an established physician scientist at Vanderbilt. Dr. Xia provides comprehensive radiation treatment for patients with brain tumor using the latest technologies, including intensity modulated radiation therapy, imaging guided radiotherapy, Brachytherapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery. Dr. Xia's laboratory is pioneering on studying how cancer cells can efficiently repair their damaged DNA and resist to therapy. Her research aims at identifying novel molecular targets to enhance brain tumor response to treatment.

Dr. Perkins is an Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology. She completed her training at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University. Dr. Perkins treats both adults and children with a wide of spectrum of brain tumors including gliomas, metastatic brain tumors, acoustic neuromas and meningiomas.
