Why Choose Vanderbilt Brain Tumor Center
There are many reasons to choose the Vanderbilt Brain Tumor Center for your health care needs. Here are some of the reasons that we thought might interest you.
Brain Tumor Board: Referred cases are formally reviewed each Monday morning at the Brain Tumor Board. This is a multidisciplinary conference where all of the members of the clinical team meet to review the cases of patients with brain tumors and to discuss treatment options. This is a valuable resource for patients and physicians. More information...
Innovative Technologies: The surgical techniques we use are pioneering. For example, we are working closely with a team of biomedical engineers to develop new technologies to identify and locate tumors during surgery. The medical therapies at Vanderbilt are leading edge. Caring Staff/Support Services: Yet, while we seek the most advanced technological solutions to the problem of brain cancer, we recognize that a diagnosis of brain cancer is devastating. Our physicians and nurses are committed to providing compassionate care and support for our patients and their families. One example of our various support services is the Pain and Symptom Management Program.
Clinical Trials: Because our goal is to develop a cure for brain cancer, we are actively conducting a number of clinical research projects at the Vanderbilt Brain Tumor Center. Brain cancer is often very difficult to treat and traditional approaches are often not effective. With that in mind, we are constantly searching for innovative ways to treat brain cancer and are committed to bringing promising ideas born in the research laboratory into clinical trials.
Research University (Vanderbilt University): As part of Vanderbilt University we are committed to going beyond the current trends in the marketplace. We help to create the current trends in medicine. The current research that we did yesterday is helping our patients today, literally. Vanderbilt University
